Group Swim Lessons - Members Only

Yorklyn Swim Club is offering group swim lessons for member kids, ages 3 years old and up. Lessons are designed to help swimmers learn basic swim and just get more comfortable in the water.

  • Lessons will be held in 2-week sessions, 5 days each week (Mon - Fri).

    • June 10 - June 21

    • June 24 - July 3 (no lessons on July 4th - 5th, cost will be pro-rated)

    • July 8 - July 19

  • Groups are limited to 4-6 swimmers.

  • Times will be 11:30 A.M or 12:00 P.M.

  • The first day of each session will be an evaluation day. Each swimmer will be placed in a session that has a consistent skill level of other swimmers at that time. Families should have the flexibility to go to either time.

Definition of levels:

  • Beginner: Defined as new to swimming with little to no swimming experience. Not yet comfortable with putting face in the water. Main goals will be blowing bubbles, kicking with help, getting the face wet; learning to get acclimated in the pool.

  • Intermediate: Fairly comfortable in the water with limited swimming experience. Comfortable with putting face in the water. Main goals will be trying to swim alone with help. Class will focus on kicking, rotary breathing and getting an overall sense of comfort in the water.

  • Advanced: Comfortable with swimming in the water and can put their face in with no issues. Main goals will be trying to help swimmers be more efficient in the water. Focus will be on swimming better freestyle, backstroke, and treading water. Introducing breaststroke and butterfly.
